How to play Chinese Chequer game?
My daughter just won a Chinese Chequer game from her school in a competition and we are wondering how to play it...!
Star Halma (Chinese Checkers)

This type of Halma can be played with 2-3 players, each with 15 pieces.
The board shows a 6-cornered star, each with 15 spaces. Each player chooses a colour, and places his pieces on a corner.
The aim of the game is to move all one’s pieces to the opposite corner. Whoever manages this first is the winner.
Each player takes turns to move a piece forwards, backwards, sideways, or by jumping over one’s own or an opponent’s piece, provided the space beyond is vacant. Unlike draughts, the jumped piece remains on the board.
It is possible to jump sideways or backwards, if this is beneficial. A player should take care not to leave empty spaces behind his pieces to hinder his opponents. Where possible, a player should try to contain opponents’ pieces in their starting positions.
