How to clean/dry a futon cover?
Ok, my futon has a removable cover and it needs to be cleaned.
The instructions on the cover say machine wash, but doesn't say hot or cold. so which should I use?
Also it says Do not put in dryer, why? and how do I dry it? (my apartment doesn't allow close lines outside)
the tag says the cover is 100% cotton and its white and fluffy on the underside, and smooth and black on the top if any of that matters.
I'd wash it in cold water. You're stuck air-drying it, so hang it over your shower rod, and when it's ALMOST completely dry, put it back on the futon. That should minimize wrinkling.
Why no dryer? The manufacturer is probably worried about shrinkage.
