What colors would go with my brown winter boots?
They are faux suede and fur and a chocolate brown. I can only wear skinny jeans with them because of the tight fit so what color jean and what kind/color top would go nicely with them? Just looking for some opinions. Please and thanks. 
Oh, and they are almost knee high... don't know if that makes too much of a difference but I thought I'd add that in there.
Well, an earth tone is always your easiest escape route... you can't go wrong! By earth tones, I mean any shade of colour that seems to be a bit brownish in nature... most commonly fall colors... but be aware that you will look conservative if you're too strict.
I personally like to wear brown with brighter things like beige and a splash of red... mushroom and teal... mustard... gold... even with black, and I know a lot of people think black & brown is a faux pas.
I wouldn't be too worried about matching stuff like your purse or belt, it is so contrived! Leave the matchy-matchy to the 50 year-olds and have fun. Look at yourself in the mirror and assess how well the colors work together, squint your eyes (seriously!) and see if something is popping out too much.
