How can I clean my shower's knob and mixing valve?
Hi. I just moved in to a new house and am having some trouble with the shower. The water is flowing but the temperature control knob doesn't move at all.
I unscrewed the knob and removed the handle to find that the part protruding from the wall is covered with some white and some light blue buildup which seems to be preventing the knob from turning.
Would scrubbing this area with CLR help? Soaking? (I can't remove the relevant parts?
