How does accidentally eating the super tiny brown bugs that infest your kitchen pantry affect your health?
Recently, I'm finding super tiny brown bugs in my kitchen pantry. I think they are flour beetles. They are maybe about 2mm long and super-skinny. I've seen the larvae too. If some of them end up getting cooked with the food, what happens? I know it sounds disgusting - eating bugs. But people in other cultures eat bugs all the time. Europeans and Americans probably used to get bugs in their pantry all the time and end up eating them. So I'm thinking they're just a little extra protein. Not that I want to keep them, and let their population explode as an extra food source -- I will clean them out ASAP. But how bad could they be?

Are you talking about weevil? If so, then protein probably not. If you eat them alive, there's a VERY small chance they may harbor foodborne illness bacteria. But i wouldn't count on it. Its probably nothing at all (:
