How can I get a projector light bulb to run off batteries?
I have a 10V, 80W projector light bulb new out of the box that I would like to run by itself, on batteries instead of through a projector. I tried wiring it to a 9V and 1.5V battery in series, including running the positive lead both directions, but didn't have any luck. Do you know why? Here's a picture of the light bulb and box; http://i.imgur.com/LdVnb.jpg
80 watts is a lot of load.U have not mentioned what type of battery uu connected.
Even if the connection is right it will not last more time.
U need large battery like car battery with more ampere hours rating.
Small dry cell will not give 80watts of power.
also u have to take 2 leads, one from positive and other from negative terminals.
