How can I get the smell of spoiled milk in my carpet and couch? ?
I probably spilled 12 ounces of milk my microfiber sofa recliner. I immediately treated the sofa and forgot that it has infiltrated in the carpet underneath. I tried shooting spot, deodorant, dishsoap, lemon juice and baking soda, and although it helped the smell rest. It is so disgusting! Too few to replace an area rug .. what to do!
It is in the padding, and once it is there it will spread much further than the diameter of the surface stain. Hopefully it will not come to that, but I had to pull the carpet and replace the affected padding, treatment of sub-floor for odors as well. It is really padding the smell, but once it's gone, the carpet is not that difficult to deodorize. j
