Can you tell me the best lap top or notebook to buy for under $1000 in Australia.?
I asked this question before and then realised that the answers were coming from the US and that was why they were too good to be true. I'm not into games, so it doesn't have to be good for that. What should I look our for ie things I must have, or problems with some? I know I need wireless, but that's about all I know. I want to use it for emails, doing some research, writing etc.

i use an acer yes excellently priced around 500$
i have had no probs whatsoever and they are still in business!!
and yes billybo you was talking to a salesman (i would believe what he said ) read up on here type acer laptops and see what yahoo says
