Where can I find those old school, plastic, three hole punched, photo album inserts?
The page itself was sticky and then you folded the plastic part over the photos and it stuck to the parts of the page that weren't photos. We've been scanning old photos (these albums are from the 70's and 80's) into the computer and some of the pages/plastic didn't survive being pulled apart and placed back in.
I am pretty certain that you can still buy those old terrible things at the craft stores and at photo developing places.
If not contact some of the local scrap booking groups in area (where people get together to scrap book as a group) and ask them if they will give you any of them that they might have and haven't thrown away.
Also, maybe garage sales or resale shops might have old albums that are still in good shape and have those in there.
But now I would be remiss if I don't point out why those old photos are in such bad condition: Those old sticky pages are very bad for you photos because they have acids in them which eat away at the photo paper and the stick stuff pulls any layers apart if the photos are decaying. Please consider white card stock and photo corners to hold your new photos down. This will have the same effect of being basic but will be much "healthier" for your new prints.
