I stuck my toe on the bottom of my couch at home. It is really bad! On and on the side. Is it broken?
I walk to my couch and I stuck my toe on the corner of the couch. First four my toes were swollen. then when I took my sock off a few hours later, i was purple. I have a purple toe (one). on the bottom and top. Is it broken or just bruised what do I do for her?? = (Help please!
I just wanted to add that it certainly can be broken - broken bones are often simple result toes in little swelling and bruising purple, sometimes in the general scheme of the epicenter of fractures. (Usually, toes together is not bad in the fractures). In any case .. as has been said: It is not anything you can do but keep your weight on toes and let them heal. Sometimes the toes are not glued to those that are broken, but it has little effect due to the effort they are imposed. If all the toes are in the same position (not bent as a result), then you just have to wait outside, like any 'fix' is not necessary. There are orthoses (braces / boots / legs / etc) that can help you move with a minimum load on the foot. You may want to wait a few days to see if the pain persists, and if so (defined as "broken), then get something at the pharmacy / OTC your feet. At the same time - Use RICE - Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation. Explicit, but the ice is to minimize the pain and swelling, compression is similar (though with broken fingers, do not worry about this part) - The elevation is crucial first because it does not blood in the feet and cause more swelling and pain, therefore, is absolutely necessary. So, keep walking. Because it would be better relief ibuprofen (Advil / Motrin) * * OTC 400 mg every 4-6 hours as needed. (With the food is better) You can take up to 800 mg at a time, .. but ibuprofen, NSAID while excellent, has a reputation for being rough on the stomach - so do not start with the 800mg dose prescription.
