Looking for a Castle turned restaurant in Vermont near Burlington, on Lake Champlain's shores - help!!?
Hello all! I would be much grateful if someone who knows Vermont could tell me of a place I've been told a while back by a friend - it's an old-fashionned castle or mansion that was turned into a restaurant; I do know that they serve breakfast there; I'm assuming they also serve other meals but I don't know for sure. I believe the dining area is on a terrace overlooking Lake Champlain, and you can see New York on the other side. I know you can take a tour of the building and walk the grounds. That's all the info I have. Please help me, this sounds great and I want to go next week when I'm in Vermont!

Wow... there are lots of places where you can dine on Lake Champlain. Nevertheless, I'm pretty sure you're talking about the Inn at Shelburne Farms. Even if you aren't, you won't be disappointed with this one; I've been to the farm many many times but for some reason I've never tried out the restaurant. Tell me how it goes for ya.
