over the counter puppy wormer?
does anyone know if the wormer you buy at the feed store works? tractor supply says of course it does but other say not so much. so anybody really know before i waste money on it??

You should always get your dewormer from a trusted veterinarian. It is really the only way to ensure you are using the correct wormer, for the right parasite, at the right dose, and the right age. There are a lot of factors that go into effectively deworming a dog. Number one is safety, and if the wrong dose or wormer is used, this can be a huge problem. And of course, the next is efficacy. You may as well save yourself the cost of the tractor supply wormer, because even if you use it, you will probably end up at the vet anyway. Don't bother with the over the counter stuff, it's just not worth it.
